Affiliate Link Checker

Find every affiliate link on a site you control, one row per link, with the tag, the issues and where it resolves.

What it is

It finds the affiliate links on a site you control and reports each one. It recognises Amazon, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, Impact, Awin and Rakuten Advertising links, plus any off-host link marked rel=sponsored, and reads the affiliate id each link carries.

How it works

Four steps from a site to a report:

  1. Add the site in the dashboard. That address is the one crawled.
  2. Prove the site is yours with a meta tag in the home page head, a file at the site root, or a DNS TXT record. Until then, the verification check is the only request to the host.
  3. Run the crawl. It reads robots.txt and the sitemap, then fetches the listed pages one at a time, waiting between requests to the same host.
  4. Read the report. It groups the links by network and by issue, and the CSV holds the same rows.

What one report row shows

One row per affiliate link: the page, the link, the network, the tag it carries, the issues and the outcome.

Issues are named the way the report names them, such as missing tag or not your tag (the id it found). The outcome says whether the link resolves, and names a 404, a redirect loop, a timeout or a network block when it does not.

What it does not do

It checks tags and links. It does not check stock, it does not report earnings or commission, and it never reads an Amazon product page.

The crawl reads the static HTML your server sends and does not run JavaScript, so a link built in the browser is invisible to it. A page that will not serve to a stranger is named as failed.

Plans

Free covers a one-page check of any URL, 5 checks a day per IP address and up to 200 affiliate links on that page. Pro is $9 a month for one verified site, crawls of up to 2,000 pages, a weekly crawl and the CSV export. Business is $29 a month for 5 verified sites, crawls of up to 20,000 pages, a daily crawl, the CSV export and the REST API.

Start with the free one-page check, or sign up and crawl one site.

Affiliate link checker questions

What counts as an affiliate link?

A link whose href matches a network the checker knows, or a link to another host marked rel=sponsored. A shop link with no affiliate id and no rel=sponsored is not counted.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The crawl runs from outside, so nothing is installed and no CMS access is granted.

What does the outcome column mean?

The status of the link, not of the page it lands on. ok means a response arrived; a 404, a redirect loop, a timeout and a network block are named apart.
